Prison of Peace is a non-profit organization, established in 2010, in order to reduce violence and promote peaceful conflict resolution among prison inmates.

Through Prison of Peace, incarcerated individuals are led through intensive workshops as they progress through the various program levels from Peacemaker to Certified Trainer, mastering the art of communication and conflict resolution, enabling them to create safer, more peaceful lives for themselves and others, in prison and beyond.

The success of the program created internal growing pains. What started in one prison has expanded to over 20 in California and Connecticut. The success of the program created internal program and participant tracking problems. With so many new programs being added and participants being transferred from one location to another, ordinary spreadsheets no longer provided the need data management required for this dynamic organization.

New Math Group assisted in developing new data schemes to organize participants and the cohorts in which they engaged in the program. Reorganized data was then transferred to Airtable, then Salesforce to utilize custom reporting capabilities. Along the way, stakeholders at Prison of Peace participated in every step of cleansing, transforming, and implementing the new system, allowing them confidence and independence in handling their data in the future.
